Jocelyn PERRY Rigby

With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jocelyn. Born in Victoria, she attended Victoria High School, Class of ’49 (skipped grade 2). She was the Victoria champion high jumper in 1945.

Jocelyn’s passion was square dancing, which she enjoyed for over 61 years. She was a member of the Promenaders Square Dance Club. Mom was always actively recruiting new members and would like you to know that beginner classes start in September.

She was predeceased by her parents Raymond (born in Toronto, moved to Victoria at age 3) and Lily Rigby (nee Cross, born in Victoria) in 1997, husband Edgar Perry in 1983 in Hawaii while on vacation, and her best friend from childhood, Doreen Dennison (nee Robinson).

She is survived by son Bruce (Wendy), daughters Joanne (Chris Morrison), and Elaine Morin, and grandchildren Alison, Matthew, and Michael. She also leaves behind special friend Larry Tickner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Colwood Community Hall, 2219 Sooke Rd., Colwood, BC, Saturday, March 22nd at 1 pm.
