George ( Bud ) Norman HUGHES

George Norman Charles Hughes
Feb 27, 1938 – Feb 12, 2014

George (Bud) passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on Feb 12th after a short battle with leukemia.
He is survived by son Colin, granddaughter Ashley (Kyle), brother Jack (Jeanine) and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Jenny, daughter Tracy, sister Margie and his parents.

Bud was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, where he also met his wife, Jenny. They moved to Victoria where they spent the last 40 years living in Langford. Bud’s career was working at Canada Post, where he made many lifelong friendships. He spent many years playing baseball as well as coaching baseball and soccer. He loved his crossword puzzles, which kept his mind and memory sharp. He had a carefree personalty and a great sense of humour that was loved by all. He will be dearly missed.

Services to be held at St. John Memorial Church at 537 Glencairn Lane in Colwood, BC on March 1st at 12:00pm.
