On November 22, 2021, Rosa Feil of Victoria, BC passed away at the age of 102 years.  She is survived by her family in Austria, as well as numerous friends in British Columbia and Ontario.

Rosa was born and raised in Salzburg, Austria.  As a young adult she lived and worked in Austria, Germany and France, before immigrating to Canada.  In Toronto, Ontario, Rosa worked as an Administrative Supervisor for de Havilland Aircraft for 27 years.  She was known for her exceptional work ethic and high standards.

After retiring, Rosa moved to Victoria, BC, where she thrived in her beloved new home.  She volunteered with various organizations such as Saanich Commonwealth Place (Preschool Program), SPCA and Literacy Victoria; and travelled extensively around the world.  Rosa was always up for an adventure and was eager to learn.  One of her many interests was physical fitness.  She participated in a variety of exercise programs at Saanich Commonwealth Place, and most recently at Move Adapted Fitness.

Rosa had a zest for life and a bright smile.  She was a strong, determined and independent woman.  She had a soft spot for children and animals, particularly cats.  She thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the sun, great food and good company.  Rosa’s words of wisdom and knack for conversation will be greatly missed.  She will be fondly remembered by those who were fortunate to have known her.

Her friends wish to thank the staff at Mount St. Mary Hospital for their care and compassion.

A private committal service was held at Rosa’s request.
