Vincent Michael ROGERS

Vincent was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, and grew up in Victoria BC.  He is with his loved ones who have gone before: great grandmother Grace Fraser, grandfather Vern Stewart, grandparents, Bill and Sally Rogers, step dad Ron Jenkins, father Michael Rogers, cousins Jeff Battters and Pat Rogers. He leaves behind his grandmother of 95 years, Bernice Stewart who helped raise him as a child and supported him as an adult when he returned to Lethbridge from 1996 to 2017. He is deeply mourned by his mother Sandra (Sandy) Jenkins and brother Sean Vernon Rogers, sister in law Gail, niece Paisley Rogers nephew Amos Rogers, step mom Beth McBain and step sisters Coreen Jenkins and Justine Connors, aunts Eileen Stewart, Verna McKean, uncle Allen Stewart, cousins Liala Eastwood, David and Scott McKean, Rogers cousins Greg Batters, Ann, Tim, and Michael. He is sadly missed by his second mom, Trixie Boyd, her son and his friend Amos Daniels and special friend, Katie Kennedy. He leaves many good friends in Victoria and Lethbridge.

Vince was a kind, good humored caring man with a big voice, who helped many people. He grew up in Victoria and fondly remembered James Bay Little League baseball and Spartans football. He had his grandfather’s intelligence and graduated from Lethbridge Community College with honors Diploma in Computer systems and Electronic Technology, 2005. He was a product technician for the King Of Trade in Lethbridge, Ab from 2004 to 2013 after which he started his Business: MERG (My Electronic Repair Guru).  In 2017, he closed his business and moved to Metchosin, BC.  He replaced log walls in the house and managed the farm after Ron Jenkins’ passing, He became part of the Metchosin community, working at Tractor Time, helping at the Seniors Centre events and horse club ring. He said Ravenhill farm was his safe and healing place.

After a long struggle with substance addiction, Vincent lost his way, and his life. Despite countless attempts to recover he did not find his way home.  We thank the friends and loved ones who helped and supported him.   After his immense struggle in this world he rests in peace with the Divine.

Vincent will ever be remembered as the good and loving person he was.
