May 28, 1926 - September 13, 2023 |
May 28, 1926 (Khedive Sask.) – Sept. 13. 2023 (Victoria BC) Trudie led a full and adventurous life: she was a student at the Sorbonne in Paris, taught in Europe and Britain, and was an innovative teacher in Canada, starting the French program in Alberta, and introducing video cameras to her classes in Calgary. She was interested in literature, music, photography and art, loved travelling, and hosted a senior’s program on TV after she retired. She learned Yoga in Montreal in the early 60s, appreciated health food and alternative medicines, and practised Reiki into her 90s. Trudie moved permanently to Victoria in the early 2000s, and loved her condo in Oak Bay. Trudie also valued her family very much. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Katharine Fellner, sisters Adele, Dorothy and Katharine, brothers Joseph and Richard, and is survived by her brother Al Fellner, sister Marlene Stanek, and several nieces, nephew, and great nieces and nephews. We will miss her. Condolences through carefuneral.com. |
