Coral Edna FISHER (Duke)

Peacefully with John, her husband of 63 years, at her side on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 81 years of age. Proud mum of Tony (Barb) and Trevor (Kim). Cherished Nana of Nikki, Sami, Brandon (Dana) and Kyra and Great Nana of Sebastian and Elena. Dear sister of Sally. She will be greatly missed by Rex, her canine companion.

Coral was born in Hampshire, England in 1944 and moved to Oxford county, Ontario in 1977 with her family where she successfully operated a dairy goat farm. Upon retirement, Coral and John fell in love with the west coast of Canada and moved to Galiano Island in 2003. Coral loved animals and was passionate about her garden. Together she and John created their own island paradise and planted many trees and flowers around their home. An accomplished knitter, Coral made many intricately crafted items that will be cherished by family and friends. She was an avid reader and also loved hiking and the great outdoors. She will be missed deeply by those that knew her for her warm smile and welcoming demeanor.
