SAMPSON, John Joseph October 5, 1945 (Sidney, BC) March 29, 2014 (Saanichton, BC) John is survived and will be dearly missed by his devoted wife, Joan; children Craig (Lena), Diana (Bernard), John Jr., Michelle (Bruce) Morris; step-children Joe, Rick and Hellen Wilson; siblings, Thomas (Audrey), Thelma (Norman) Underwood, Christine (Dave) Paul, Kenneth, Charles Francis, Cyril (Sally), James Murray (Dorothy, Angel (Brian), Virgil; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren along with many family and friends. John, a proud descendant of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Tribe and the Coast Salish Nation, leaves behind all who knew him with many fond memories of his love for family and friends as well as his positive, selfless and easy going nature.
