Our heartfelt sympathies to you Pat, Ryan and Scott and family for the loss of Al. Anne and I remember the enjoyable times we all spent together with Mom and your Dad; skiing, hiking and wonderful family dinners and get togethers with you over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Pat and her family. I am also very sad to lose one of my greatest friends....Al. I first met Al in September of 1969, down at the 6 mile pub, after a \"tough\" week teaching. Over the years we got to know each other very well, and as we sipped on our Friday after school beers, we chatted about hockey, baseball, the CFL and the NFL. We ended up golfing regularly together before we retired and well into our retirements. Al was a really cool guy, absolutely loved his golf outings, and of course relished the 19th hole gatherings. I am sure that all those who knew Al really well will really miss our buddy....Al...... Jim Gauley

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. I enjoyed teaching with Al years ago at Savory. I remember he loved sports, and enjoyed a good laugh! You are in my thoughts, Pat.

My deepest sympathy with the passing of your loved one. Mr Cownden was one of my favourite teachers and coaches at John Stubbs. May is memories live long in your hearts.
