NELSON, Albert Norman aka “Buck or Breezie” Passed away peacefully at his home in Sooke, BC on August 19, 2013 at 12:26 AM while being surrounded by his loving family. Buck was born in 1937 in Victoria, B.C. He spent his younger years in Namu in the float house that his dad bought from one of the camps. He is well known in the B.C. Logging and the Canadian and U.S. Highway Trucking Industry. He started driving “big rigs” at the age of 14 and quickly became one of the best and most sought after drivers. He is known for his loving, caring and generous personality. Loved to tell funny stories of events thru-out his life, he loved horses, fast cars, tinkering in his shop, motorcycles, life and laughter. He wore his heart on his sleeve and welcomed everyone. He was very popular and left a trail of broken hearts when he moved on. You couldn’t help but be attracted to his vibrant personality, when he smiled his gentle cheeky smile. A wonderful son, brother, father, husband and friend. He will never be forgotten and forever missed. Survived by his wife; Carol Ladouceur of Sooke, BC, children; Cyn-Dee Nelson of Kalispell, MT., Chad England of Calgary, AB, Wendy Nelson of Victoria, BC, Stella Nelson of Courtenay, BC, Krystal Nelson of Grand Prairie, AB. and Grandchildren; Michael, Neala and Paityn. Brothers; Chuck, Ted, Bradley, Robbie, Allen, Sisters; Clara, Leona, Stella, Vera, Winnie, stepmom; Annie Hunt, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his Dad; Albert John Edwin Nelson and Mom; Leona Alice Planes and sister Rosie and brother David.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on August 24th, 2013 at 6221 Lazzar Rd., Sooke, B.C. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to assist with final expenses.
