Ann Marie Cameron (Bryce)
September 7th, 1959 – September 16th, 2015
“Keep up the good work” This is Ann’s Mom’s favourite expression. Ann certainly lived by this. She gave up a career at Water Management to raise three wonderful children. She gave so much of herself to others, she had little left for herself. With the children grown, she volunteered at Our Place where she met Reverend Al Tysick. Ann would go down to the streets in the morning handing out coffee and donuts to the most needy & homeless in the community. Ann became a Mom to many of these forgotten souls. She treated everyone on the streets, as she has everyone she has ever met, with kindness & respect. When Al Tysick started the Victoria Dandelion Society, Ann soon followed & became a member of the board. In the past 2 years she has been the Board Chair.
After a brief illness, Ann passed away peacefully on September 16th with friends and family by her side. She is survived by her husband, Brian, children Luke, Molly and Daniel. Mother Margaret Bryce, and sisters Jenn Bryce (Ron King) and Karen Connaghan and many other relatives and friends, too numerous to mention, in Canada and Scotland. She is pre-deceased by her Dad, Norman Bryce.
We thank all the staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital and especially Dr. Steven Sullivan for all their wonderful care and treatment during Ann’s illness.
