Very saddened by the passing of my sister Corina. I will always keep our fondest memories in my heart. Being “griewelik” and laughing together whenever you visited. Also our telephone conversations when we couldn’t be together. Heaven has a new angel. Rest In Peace my dear sister. To all of her children, my nieces and nephews, you were truly blessed with a beautiful soul as a Mother. Thinking of you and sending lots of love and prayers your way. Aunty Val

To our family in Canada. We want to express our heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your mom, as we know her, Aunty Reen. I will always remember her smile and her jolly laugh. Also the warm welcome we received when Lydia and I visited Canada many years ago. The feast that was prepared for us by her hands … I can’t imagine the hours of cooking that took ! A sign of her generous heart. May she Rest In Peace. Sending lots of love and hugs and prayers. Carol and family

Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of a beautiful soul; Tom and I loved Corina miss her very much already, I still have to remind myself not to turn right to pick Corina up for church on Sunday. May she rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus our Saviour. God Bless, Tom & Carol (Chrismas) Sweeney St. Rose of Lima Church

Dear Family in Canada. Please accept our condolences on the passing of Aunty Corina. Aunty Corina together with Uncle Basil will always be the source of happy loving memories. Their numerous visits back to South Africa to re-connect with the family and their keen interest in, and love for South Africa, as we painfully continue to stumble trying to deal with the past, that same past which was the reason the big DeVries move to Canada. Also, thank-you Aunt Corina and Uncle Basil for welcoming Geoff and Lilian to your home on their only visit to Canada. It was great that Judy was able to meet you again in Canada just recently. These are memories Lilian and us in SA will continue to cherish forever. Reading the beautiful obituary, it is wonderful to see our name-sake relatives in Canada (so far I can see Lilian, Maurice, Michele, Nicolas, Stephen). May we meet you and all others one day, I think Aunt Corina and Uncle Basil would love that. Aunt Corina's passing is the close of a generation of pioneers who moved from a racist South Africa to better their families lives in Canada. We wish that the next generation continues the linkages the pioneers had. Rest in Peace Aunty Corina, from Lilian, Maurice, Michele, Dominic, Nicolas, Judy, Paul, Giovanni, Nikita, Tammy.

Our heartfelt and sincere condolences to all the family. It was with great sadness that we learnt of Mom's passing. We give thanks for the beautiful friendship we shared. We could not have asked for a more sincere friend than we had in Mom. Our friendship started in the early 1950's and lasted a lifetime. Mom and Dad celebrated our joys and shared our sorrows. They supported and encouraged us through rough patches. Now that Mom has gone to join Dad in Eternity we pray that she will rest in God's Eternal Peace. Till we meet again we will cherish the beautiful memories we shared. To all of you we say thank you for sharing your precious Mom with us. Our lives were blessed with her presence. May you all find comfort in the memories you shared and in the Powerful Presence of Almighty God in your lives. Lots of love. Uncle Reggie and Aunty Wilma
