Obituaries

Dieza Dolencio (“Di”) passed away peacefully in Victoria, B.C., Canada on May 28, 2021. She was born in the Philippines on May 8, 1937. She is survived by her sister Sr. Clarita O. Dolencio ICM and brothers, nephew Rev. Fr. Jerry H. Habunal, niece Annie Guanzon Verzosa and relatives. She will also be missed by her church family, Pearson College alumni, and friends. She was a very devout member of St. Andrew’s Cathedral and long-time family host of Pearson College students. Whether with a friend, an acquaintance, or a total stranger, she is always present, with a listening mind and heart. The gift of God’s love radiating through her, she always let you know that Jesus and Mary love you. Rosary will be prayed at 4:30pm followed by funeral service at 5pm, on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Due to Covid pandemic, the attendance is limited and will be by invitation only. The 5pm service will be livestreamed from St. Andrew’s Cathedral at https://youtu.be/57jWc5bg8NQ. Internment will be arranged later at the St. Andrew’s Cathedral Columbarium.
