Dorothy Isobel NORBY ( nee PAIGE ) passed away in the company of family on January 6, 2014 at her home in Metchosin, BC. With thanks to all the homecare workers, daughter in-law Judith Norby, nurses from Vancouver Island Health and family members who enabled Isobel to remain in her home, at 101 years, 4 months and 12 days ( But Whose counting )
Born in Regina, Saskatchewn in 1912, she was raised on the family farm and came to BC in the early thirties where she took up residence and work in Vancouver, BC. She later moved to Victoria where she met and married Hans Norby in 1942. ( pre-deceased ). She leaves behind one son Norman and his wife Judith, two grandchildren, Lysa Steffan ( John ), Aaron and great granddaughter Natysha with extended family of Tyler and Nick Steffan.
