Barb I was really shocked and saddened to learn about Doug\'s passing . He was a valued friend and I so loved helping him with the motor on his sailboat which was his pride and joy. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time .

Sincere condolences on the passing of Doug. I have the fondest memories of Barb and Doug during the time that Barb worked beside me in my office. I have lost contact over the years and would dearly love to hear from you, as we are back living in Victoria. Due to previous commitments, we are unable to attend the celebration of Doug\'s life.

We will deeply feel the absence of the cornerstone of our family. From the moment he entered our lives in the 1970s when he began dating Barb until the day he left us, he tirelessly dedicated himself to, constantly striving and planning for what lay ahead. He was never one to rest on his laurels. I held great admiration for him and found inspiration in his unwavering commitment to his family and his achievements. I cherished his persistence and his outlook on life; he always had a clear purpose behind his actions or decisions. He lived life on his own terms, and his absence will be deeply felt by me and our family.
