"Because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me..." News of Fran's passing immediately brought to mind Dickenson's poem. So often, as we drove home along Wishart Road, we would see Fran walking; a diminutive figure with a steady gait and a firm resolve to complete her journey. Each time we saw her, we would exchange quick waves, but most often we would stop and chat. Fran would ask about the family and always, always ask about our dog. In years past, Tigger would greet Fran with his tail wagging. He knew also what a gentle lady she was. We shall miss her very much. Deepest sympathies to Astrid, Keith and the family. Your mom was a very special lady.
