GERALD KENNEY GILHAM (Aug. 2, 1949 – June 18, 2021)

Gerald passed away peacefully at VGH after a short battle with lung cancer.  Gerry dealt with many difficulties throughout his life but lung cancer was one fight too many.  Left to mourn his passing are his sisters Gayle Good and Joy Newham and our families, his son Kevin Gilham and daughter Shelley Gilham and their families, and our many cousins and friends.  Gerald was predeceased by dad Kenney in 1999, mom Dorothy in 2003 and wife Georgina in 2004.  Gerry followed in the footsteps of our dad as a logger and was proud of the years he spent with Munns Logging.  He loved to reminisce about his logging days, our childhood growing up in Langford and fishing trips to Becher Bay with Gina.  We offer thanks to Gayle’s daughter Tammy for her special care to Ger at VGH, and to the staff in 4 A&B South, and to Gerry’s neighbors Larry, Cathy and Dan, who often stepped in to help Gerry out when we sisters weren’t available.  Ger loved his cats so if you wish, a donation to the SPCA would be appreciated.
