Glenn Hartle
September 18, 2015
Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
It is with deep sadness that we let all know Glenn Hartle passed away suddenly on September 18, 2015 due to complications during surgery at Victoria General Hospital (BC). Glenn is survived by Wendy, the love of his life for 35 years and his daughter, Sara. He is also survived by 8 siblings, Lila, Lorraine (Peter), Marilyn, Rodney, Robert (Shirley), Paula (Roger), Theresa (Esroy) and Jason (Eva) as well as in-laws Bonnie (Wayne), Scott (Charlene), Jenny (Troy) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Art and Yolande and brother-in-law Wilf.
Glenn was an extremely dedicated family man, friend and co-worker. He was a remarkable person because of his character and the way he treated all people in his short life of 57 years. Anyone who knew Glenn knew of his sense of strong loyalty, fierce commitment to everything he did, and the way he was there for anyone who needed him. We will miss his zest for life and easy smile. Glenn had a generous heart and his love for both family and friends ran deep. Anyone who was lucky enough to have ever crossed paths with Glenn, whether through his family ties, work relations, or sports ties will sadly miss his friendship.
Glenn, my love, you were taken from all of us far too soon and always know we all loved and respected you more than you could ever know. A piece of each and every one of us has gone with you. Peace be with you now and forever, my love.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Cancer Clinic, Victoria General hospital and especially Dr. Fleetwood and Dr. Atwell who guided and supported our family through this chapter of our lives. The support and strength you all provided to us, for that we are eternally grateful.
There will be no service. In lieu of flowers or cards, please make a donation to the Cancer Society in Glenn’s honour.
Glenn would ask that everyone who is saddened by his passing have a glass of red wine and a fantastic meal and toast the wonderful life he had.
