I don't know how to describe how I felt upon hearing about Helen. I have known Helen for many years professionally and personally. I worked with Helen in Social Services and she was a wonderful colleague: balanced, professional, efficient. Everyone liked and respected Helen. Then of course she founded the Water Project. It was so inspiring. She had a clear vision that she pursued in her methodical step by step approach. She did so much for so many. I will miss Helen, but I will keep what I learned from her as a colleague and a friend. My deepest condolences to Jerry and family.

Collin and I were Helen and Jerry's neighbors in Lake Country for many years. She and Jerry were always out doing something active and enjoying life. Such great neighbors. We would hear of their adventures travelling and of her passion for the Malawi water project. We are sad to learn of her passing. Our thoughts go out to Jerry and the family.

I met Helen in June this year - we had both signed up for some golf lessons at a public golf course in Victoria. We seemed to have the same goal in mind - to be able to play a round of golf without embarrassing ourselves. She was quite determined and focused on reaching that goal, and suggested to me that we play during the week, between lessons. We managed to get in just two golf games through the summer, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. She regularly out-drove me, and her putting was either very lucky or very good. I was just getting to know her. She was such an easy person to be with, and I loved her sense of humor. I will miss her!
