It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian James Halpin on 24 January 2025 at the age of 54.
Ian is survived by his wife Charlotte, mother Joan (Herb), brother Mark, sister Colleen (Maureen), sister Jo-Ann (Brian), step-brother Cory (Colleen), step-sister Randi-Lea, half-sister Katrina, nephews Ian (who was like a son to him), Andrew, Kyle and niece Adrianna.
He is pre-deceased by his father Bill (2015) and brother Sean (1971).
Ian was a very kind soul who would do anything for anyone in need. He was a voracious reader with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He loved to regale and sing and was most proud of his family and friends.
As per Ian’s request, no funeral will take place. An informal gathering will occur on Ian’s birthday 6 Feb 2025 in Victoria at a place to be determined. A family celebration of life will occur in the spring (details to follow).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ian’s name can be made to the charity of your choice or to your local SPCA.
