In loving memory of James Gustave Jasper Planes (Jimmy), born August 17, 1962 , passed away on June 19, 2023.
Jimmy grew up in Sooke, the 7th of 10 siblings. He left school early and took work as a commercial fisherman, which he continued until retirement. Jimmy loved music, especially the Beatles, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Pre-deceased by brother Andy Planes, and parents Jacques and Phyllis Planes
Survived by his partner of 30 plus years, Paula Hewitt, children Elizabeth, James, Ashley and Josh, grand children, Terrance, Maleah, Sabreena, Jaina, Jaxon and Oliver, siblings Jackie, John, Gord, Becky, Steve, Frank, Kenny and Joey as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Prayer Service to be held at the T’Sou-ke First Nation Band Hall on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 7pm
Funeral service to be held at the T’Sou-ke First Nation Band Hall on Friday, June 23, 2023, viewing at 8:30 am, funeral service at 9am with lunch to follow
