Janet CROWE (Wagner)

Janet passed away in hospital in Victoria with family by her side. She was pre- deceased by sister Ruth, brothers Carl and Gordon; is survived by brother Michael (Janet).
Janet was born in Toronto to Erich and Gertrude Wagner who immigrated to Canada from Goerlitz, Germany in 1932. She attended BYU in Provo, Utah until health issues interrupted her studies. She, nevertheless, continued her interest in learning and travelling by attending BYU European Studies Abroad. Later, she travelled alone to visit relatives behind the iron curtain in East Germany.
After moving to Vancouver, she graduated from Vancouver Community College as a medical stenographer, and worked at Mount Saint Joseph and BC Children’s hospitals. The last years of her life were spent at Glenwarren Lodge in Victoria, where she still maintained interest in collecting family albums, painting, poetry, and scriptures.
In accordance with Janet’s wishes, a graveside service will be held.
