Age 74, Victoria, B.C. We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our
dear mother, wife, and sister at home in Victoria on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
She was born September 22, 1942, in Halifax and the onlydaughter of the late
Maida (Await) and Gordon Butler of Boutilier’s Point. She attended school in
Boutilier’s Point and Halifax where she was employed for several years. She
eventually moved to Victoria with her two sons and has lived there ever since.
Our much loved mother is survived by her husband, Thomas Walker, two sons,
Donald and Timothy, and daughter, Melissa; five grandsons, Cory, Cody, Jake,
Jesse and Chris; two brothers, Kenneth (Violet), Glace Bay, Edward “Ted” (Lillian),
St Thomas, Ontario; brother and sister in-law, Roy (Pauline) in Victoria, BC and
nieces and nephews in Cape Breton.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in Victoria at
Cedar Hill GolfCourse, 1400 Derby Rd, Victoria BC on February 18, 2017,
2 pm til 5 pm. Interment of ashes will be held in the spring on Hornby Island, BC.
Our mother was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly
missed by her family in Victoria and her many friends in Nova Scotia.

and donations to the Heart and Stroke Association of Canada would be
gratefully appreciated
