Jeff worked with me at Costco in Nanaimo. He was an excellent employee and got along with everyone. I had memorable conversations with him and was grateful to see his smiling face and can do attitude at work. I am so saddened to see the outcome for him because he was a true friend and hero to many. RIP Jeff.

Jeff made a big difference in my life and I can only imagine the difference he made to his clients in Victoria. I'm so grateful to have known Jeff for the very brief time that I did and I too am so, so glad that he persisted along his mental health journey. Jeff's sense of humour and persistence to get well were heartwarming and inspiring. My deepest condolences to all of us left behind.

Jeff was and will forever be one of my absolute favourite people. We had such a wonderful connection. An admiration and love for eachother that nothing good break. Kindred friends through thick and thin. My heart is broken. I am thinking of you his loving family who have stood by him through so so many good times and hard times. He adoresd his family and was just the proudest uncle ever. Oh his football. How dare I text him on a Sunday. Lol. He just always wanted to do better. To be better. To just love and be loved. He was and is so dearly loved by so so many and is greatly missed. Sending all his family my love as you grieve this tremendous loss.

My sincere condolences. I admired Jeff a lot and knew him from our time spent in Nanaimo together. Always easy to chat with and just a good person. I know he cared deeply about family. I had thought about him just over a month ago, and reached out to him. It had seemed like he found his calling, as I know there was a period where he was searching after leaving the accounting behind. I was really happy for him and he is someone I though of often. Little did I know that would be our last time chatting, and I am so grateful we got to connect. My condolences and he will be missed.

I am devastated to hear this news. I have been friends with Jeff for over 20 years and we also worked together at Birchcliff. Jeff was always a kind guy and had the greatest smile. I knew he struggled with mental health and I am so proud of him for trying so hard. Sending all my love to his family. He will be missed.

To say this is a shock is an understatement as we had just played phone tag for his birthday and am just finding out about this tonight. I am in Recovery like Jeff was and I was a early mentor for him when he got back to Calgary after his first treatment. We had also been friends since our early 20’s as we had many mutual friends. Jeff had such a kind heart and gentle soul, and I loved swapping stories about our lives, and our recovery’s. I was so proud of Jeff for continuing to try and reach out when he needed some support. I loved taking his calls and can’t believe I won’t get them anymore. My heart breaks tonight losing a friend. Rest well Jeff, Rest well.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing our friend Jeff. I worked with Jeff at the Harbour in Victoria working with the unhoused community, where he showed nothing but compassion and kindness for our clients. The team at the Harbour is devastated to learn about Jeff’s passing and share our condolences to the family. Jeff brought us laughter and light and he will be greatly missed.

I am incredibly saddened to hear the news of Jeff’s passing. I was Jeff’s roommate when I first moved to Calgary 20 some years ago. I hold my memories of those years dear to me and I hope Jeff’s family and friends find some comfort in knowing he has touched many lives in a positive way. Rest in Peace, buddy.

Dear Sandy, Jerry, Lindsey, and Aly, My thoughts are with you at this time and I hold you all, and Jeff, in my heart. I’m so sorry for your loss. This is heartbreaking news that feels impossible to understand. I’m so grateful for the times I shared with Jeff and will cherish the memories of cheering him on as he played safety for the St. Francis Browns, being encouraged by him to be a little more dare-devilish on the ski hill, rides in that beast of a mobile he had, aka “The Tub”, and long summer nights of talking and laughing not wanting to go home. Jeff will be forever missed, forever cherished, and forever remembered. With much love, Janelle

Dearest Sandy, Jer and family, We were so shocked and saddened by your loss of Jeff, your beloved son, brother. We only met Jeff 3-4 times, but each time we did, we were struck by his openness, kindness and interest in others. We really enjoyed spending time with him when we got together. We pray for God's peace as you go through this challenging time. Much love, Linda & Bryan.

Jeff, I remember the glorious days of playing football together and skiing many fun filled powder days with you in the Rockies! The many parties as well! I had no idea you also made the move to Vancouver Island and wished we crossed paths again cause we are both helping the less fortunate who are in need of care and support. I applaud you for going into such a necessary and demanding field and more people like you are needed in this world. You have always had such a big heart and soul my friend and you will be missed greatly and look forward to seeing you again in the heavens Jeff! Love you brother!
