It is with sadness that we announce Margaret’s passing. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Daisy and William Burrowes and by her brother Stephen Burrowes, sister Elizabeth Kimball, and brother Richard Burrowes. Margaret will be forever in the hearts of her niece Cynthia Craft and her goddaughter Pamela Leacock. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
Margaret was born in Sutton, Ontario. She had a happy childhood in Belleville. After the death of her fiance during WWII she moved to Toronto and began her career in business. In 1992, after many years in Toronto and leaving many good friends behind, Margaret sold her Toronto house and bought a quaint cottage in Victoria’s James Bay neighbourhood. Once settled in she was delighted to meet new people and energized by establishing many new friendships. Margaret was a people person and an avid gardener. She was never happier than when she was entertaining her friends and family in her lovely garden with tea and cookies on the table.
The last four years of Margaret’s life were spent at St. Charles Manor where her sunny room was a reflection of her previous homes and personallity. We wish to thank the staff at St. Charles for their wonderful care of Margaret during her stay.
