Obituaries

Passed away suddenly but peacefully with her daughters at her side, she fought a hard fight until there was no fight left. Survived by mother Laura and brother John. Jacquie, Kelly, Carlee, Jaxon, Brody, Joe. Georgette, Tom, Hannah. Step siblings Laurie (Paul) Michael & Peter. Also Barry Thyne & Kathy Foster, Rudy Vowles & Eli Henery. Predeceased by her father Jack and stepmother Eileen Rutherford and stepfather Dave Cunningham.

Mom was born and raised in Victoria and was involved in many groups and organizations throughout her life. She pledged Beta Sigma Phi in 1964 and was also a very proud member of the Sooke Sirens (Red Hat Society) She volunteered many hours with Operation Track Shoes and Special Olympics and took great joy working with the athletes. Mom was a special lady who touched many lives.

She had many chosen family and friends who were apart of her life. Our organizer, picture taker, gingerbread house maker and always such a thoughtful gift giver – she is already missed so much by many.

The Family would like to thank all the Drs & nurses and caregivers who cared for Mom.
