Lovingly remembered by her husband Sam, three children, Marlon, Sharleen (Nick) and Dennis (Monica), three grandchildren, Amelia, Jude and Luca, sisters, Lina and Maria, and many cousins, friends and relatives. Rachele passed away peacefully by her husband’s side, ending her brave battle with Lewy Body Disease. Born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, Rachele journeyed to Winnipeg, Manitoba where she started a new life in her 20s. Rachele will always be remembered as an energetic, hardworking, friendly, outgoing woman who always loved to learn and be active. Constantly on her feet, Rachele loved being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed going on walks, curling, lawn bowling and playing cards. She will always be remembered for her warmth and hospitality when visitors arrived, making them feel welcome. She took pride in providing for her family by being self-employed, for many years, establishing herself within the Western Communities as an excellent hair stylist who touched the hearts of many clients and visitors with her welcoming, glowing personality. When it was time to move on from her business, she still connected with clientele who loved her personality as much as they loved her skills as a hairdresser. Rachele will always be remembered for her sense of humour and fun-loving approach to life. She was a wonderful friend, a caring mother, and a loving wife.

A memorial service will be held at Saint John the Baptist Heritage Church in Colwood on Nov. 27th at 1:00, followed by a reception at 2:00. Donations can be made in Rachele’s honour at www.alzheimer.ca.
