Obituaries

Ralph was a great friend he and I knew each other for some 40 odd years. He was a man of exceptional expertise who was often sought out for his good counsel. His clients welfare was always at the forefront of any business he did. Ralph was a pleasure to play golf with and we had a regular foursome where we enjoyed comradery, humour and the occasional good shot which Ralph was always quick to acknowledge in others. He wasn't quite as mobile latterly but we would chat on the phone and I will really miss those calls. Rest in peace my friend I am a better person for having known you.

Ralph was a good man with a big generous heart. I owe my career to him, as he helped me in 2006 set out the ground work to make it in our industry. He was a great mentor then and up to the end. Ralph was all about his family and his clients. I remember him telling me this quote that I didn't quite get in my early years, but was very helpful over the years once I fully grasped the importance and value of it....and Ralph was always repeating it to me. (c8 "Never take your clients for granted. We are slaves to them as they are entrusting their livelihoods in our counsel. We do all that we can to make their lives better." He was a wise man, and I will surely miss him. Enjoy your peace Ralph.
