Obituaries

Heller – Robert George, passed away in his sleep after a battle with lung disease on January 23, 2014. Bob is survived by his wife Patricia (Standbridge), sons Timothy (Carol) and Robert, and daughter Erin (Kelly); Grandchildren Cheyenne, Keegan, Paul, Gavin, and Serena. Predeceased by daughter Shannon. Born and raised in Victoria and long time resident of Colwood, Bob married Pat in 1958. He spent most of his working life self employed in the electrical field. He was an early pioneer in computers in Victoria, with his business Heller Computer Systems. He was an amateur hand radio operator (VE7 AIL). During the 1950s until the 1970s he was a member of the Victoria Water Ski Club and spent many years water-skiing at Shawnigan Lake. Bob loved to garden, raising many palm trees, banana plants, and bamboo. He loved to visit Swap ‘n Shop every weekend, and his rounds of garage sales.
