It is with great sadness that Bob (Vern) passed away at Royal Jubilee Hospital at the age of 89.
Predeceased by parents, Stuart and Louise Smith, sister Vada Scott, brothers Gordon and Roy, nephew Warren and best-friend John Ludlow.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Edith (Cavell), of 67-years; sister-in-law Jean Smith along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
A memorial service will be held to honour Bob’s life at the Friendship Community Church, 7820 Central Saanich Rd., Saanichton, BC, on Friday June 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm . In lieu of flowers Bob’s request was for charitable contributions to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue West, 16th Floor Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8 – https://alzheimer.ca/en/take-action/donate.
