Roberto Melizza 

It is with great sorrow that we announce the recent passing of Roberto Melizza aged 53 at Royal Jubilee Hospital.
To cherish Roberto’s memory are many immediate family members, distant relatives and close friends.

His childhood and young adult life was spent growing up in James Bay, later moving to Colwood to be with family. A longtime career working as a marine labourer at local shipyards, primarily Victoria Shipyards, also was a skilled tile setter. He enjoyed spending time living at home with his parents and keeping in contact with close friends and siblings. His pastimes included listening to classic rock music, the band Kiss being one of his favourites. He enjoyed tinkering on vehicles he owned over the years. In particular, he cherished his corvette which he took great pride in restoring to mint condition. He had a passion for audio sound and would strive for the best audio components for home and car, sometimes to the angst of neighbours. He enjoyed watching movies, documentaries on historical wartime events and the news. Recently he took up learning to play the guitar. He had a zest for life practising a minimalist lifestyle and enjoyed long conversations with family and friends.
A private service for prayer and celebration of life to be held for family and close friends.
