She attended the High School of Kantonsschule Glarus, Business College in Zurich, Switzerland and English Language school in Brighton, England before moving to Canada in 1959. She began her life-long love affair with aviation industry when she joined Nordair in Montreal in 1960 as a flight attendant. Rose loved life and lived large. Family and friends were her passion and delight. She loved to travel to find new adventures but at least once a year would return to her mountains of Switzerland that would always feel like home. She entertained, organize social events and loved to golf. For several years she would travel to Arizona with Bob to spend the winter months with friends in the sun and on the course.
Even in retirement Rose was unable to leave the airline industry behind and became a long time member of the Red Coat volunteer group at the Victoria International Airport. She also enjoyed her aerobics, being part of her ladies golf trio with Lee and Barb and loved the outdoors especially West Coast beaches at Coles Bay and Turgoose Point.
Rosmarie is survived and will be sadly missed my her husband Bob Hallworth, her sisters and brothers, Klaire, Hans and Werner and their families in Switzerland and Germany, her daughters Carol Bradley (Christian), Christine Corkan and children Bradley and Erin, step-sons Ian Hallworth ( Linda ) and children Ben and Zak, David Hallworth (Brenda) and children Sam and Grace.
