Shirley and Family, I was saddened to read about Russ's passing. I met and worked with Russ when he was on the School Board. He was passionate about education and about children being able to access the best learning possible. During his tenure, he was a fierce advocate for Pender Elementary/Secondary and for the School District. He was a master of debate and loved the repartee. I learned a lot from Russ and very much enjoyed his company. Russ loved his family and,, on those long water taxi rides, we would often talk about `his wonderful family. I feel privileged to have known and worked with him. My sincere condolences.
