Lovingly remembered by his three children, Marlon, Sharleen (Nick) and Dennis (Monica), three grandchildren, Amelia, Jude and Luca, his sister Mary, his brother Frank and many cousins, friends and relatives. Sam passed away peacefully at his home in Victoria, BC and has joined his loving wife Rachele just two months after her passing.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents who emigrated from Italy, Sam was raised as the second youngest of eight children. He was always active in his younger days as he played sports and enjoyed making hilarious home movies with his close cousins, which are still viewed to this day. Sam loved animals, enjoyed curling, lawn bowling, playing cards, painting and spending time with his family. He always ensured that his children stayed active, whether it be in hockey, baseball, or music.

Sam will always be remembered for his witty sense of humour, welcoming personality, and his mild-mannered, peaceful demeanour. Sam worked hard to provide for his family as he owned and managed a hair salon in the Western Communities for nearly 20 years with his wife. His duties as a husband in his final years certainly define the kind of man he was. As his wife suffered with Lewy Body disease, Sam cared for her and stayed by her side. Despite his declining health in the past several months, Sam used every last ounce of strength to care for Rachele until her passing.

He was a gentle and loving father, grandfather, brother, and a devoted husband. He will be dearly missed and loved forever.
