It comes with great sadness that Chief PO Warren “Zeb” Schmidt has passed away in Victoria, October 16th, 2025.
He was a member of the Canadian Navy for 37 years and had sailed all around the world.
He is survived by his ex wife, three children and six grandchildren as well as his two sisters, two brothers and their families.
Zeb was born Dec 13, 1959 in Viceroy SK to Lenard and Emma (Boyczuk) Schmidt and was a graduate of Assiniboia Composite High School, Class of 1977. He was also a big supporter of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Bleed Green!
He loved sport and was a coach for youth softball and hockey for many many years.
