JOHN RUSSELL HAUGLAND

JAN 12, 1965 – FEB 10, 2015

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved John Haugland. Born to James and Bonnie Haugland in Prince George, he passed away suddenly on February 10, 2015.

John will be sadly missed by: loving wife Melanie, son Jordan, daughter Jillian. He also leaves behind mother Bonnie, sisters Sherry (Reid) and Tracy, grandmother Jeannette, mother-in-law Lynda, brother-in-law Dave, nephew Sterling, aunt Linda, cousins Meighan and Lisa (Ben, baby Felix), uncle Ted (Carol), aunt Mary (Ed), aunt Ellen, aunt Sharon, aunt Patsy (Arnold), aunt Sylvia (Leonard), uncle Kenny, many more relatives in BC, AB, SK, YT, close friends Jeff and Marlene Audette, and countless other friends.

Predeceased by: father James, stepfather Woody, brother Sterling, uncle

Barry, uncle Tommy, father-in-law Jim Rose, Ken and Hazel Shepherd.

John was an exceptional human being. His family was the very most

important thing to him and his mission in life was to be sure that everyone

around him was taken care of. John was a devoted husband, father,

exceptional son, and brother. He inspired fun activities with his children

and lived with integrity in both his personal and business life. John was a

passionate supporter of Victoria Habitat for Humanity and had hoped to

take his family somewhere in the world to support the building of a home

for people less fortunate. He also volunteered at the homeless shelter “Our

Place” with his young family serving Christmas dinners. John’s kindness and

generosity was endless. He leaves behind a void in the fabric of his family,

friends, and everyone who knew him, that can never be filled.

Service will be held February 19, 2015 at 1:00pm at Church of the Advent,

510 Mount View Avenue, Colwood, BC.
