Dear Christa and family While slowing coming to terms with your terrible loss, so many memories of John come to mind. Bob and I always felt so welcome at your's and John's home. We were always amazed at his accomplishments that he would proudly show us. His unbelievable stone wall in Jordan River, from hauling the rocks to the site, then slowly building it complete with steel rods inside then building a huge wood fence on top of it. Amazing!! You then moved to Sooke to another gorgeous huge property. John then set about clearing your acreage, no easy task, followed that with bucking up the trees and chopping enough firewood to last many years. He loved to show us his beautiful chicken house (not a coop) with all your unique chickens that you both loved. John always appeared to be such a happy, contented man, with his lot in life and kept the conversation going at all times peppered with his infectious laugh. We send you heartfelt sympathy and wish we could take your pain away. Love Bod and Linda
