I am sorry to have just learned Lorne has passed away. He was my manager at Marsh & McLennan in Toronto 1981-1984. I had moved to Toronto from New Zealand and Lorne took me under his wing, not only in the office, but also in getting established in a new city. I moved on to positions with Marsh in various locations around the world, but for many years saw Lorne at annual Managing Director meetings, and I distinctly remember him visiting my home during a RIMS conference in Atlanta in 1989. Lorne was a true gentleman.
