Dear Rosa, You were the first person to meet me at the gates of de Havilland in August 1982, on my first day at work. You were nearing the end of your career there and I was just starting out. We struck up a friendship on that very first day. You were a tough one at work making sure things ran well and kind hearted in your personal life. I valued our friendship and enjoyed the times when you invited me to the house up at Lake Rosseau where you went to get away from it all after you retired. You were always up for something new and had amazing stories to share of your trips all over the world. Nothing was too daunting for you. When you moved to Victoria for better weather I made sure to visit every time I was out that way for business and remember fondly our outings in the area surrounding your new home. Even in your later years with many health issues you were sure to get out and volunteer at the local SPCA or a children's centre. You were an inspiration to so many. I was sad to hear the news of your passing, but know you are at peace having lived a life well lived. Love, Deb

Dear Rosa! You taught me how to love the sun of each day l spent with you; l’ve had never met anyone at your age enjoying so much the wind moving the leaves of those big trees. And what to say about your lovely cat? I saw you one day disappointed because your cat "didn't talk to you anymore" so l went to the nurse office and ask for some new "AA" batteries... when l said to you that your cat was talking again and you listened to your cat talking, you were soooo happy! How not to love you!? Rosa, you touched my heart and you will be here, with me, forever. Maria

Dearest Rosa, we are happy for you that you are in a better place now, where you wanted to be. We have loved and cherished the time we have had with you. You became a part of our family, your love for my kids, your little schatze, and their love for you. We think about you often, the stories you shared and the memories we have made with you. Rest in peace 🤍

Dear Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Rosa, you always said that you wanted to live to be 100 years old, now your wish has come true, even 2 years more and we hope where you are now is peace and quiet. You wanted to go out into the world at a young age, so you emigrated to Canada in 1956, where you have built a new life for yourself through striving and strength. After your retirement, a new phase of your life began in Victoria with many new friends who always enjoyed being with you. Even though your life and ours were determined by the great distance, we were always connected and miss you very much. Your circle of life has now closed and you are returning to your home Salzburg. (or... to your roots) In loving memory, your Family 🤍

Dearest great-grandma, I hope you are now in a very beautiful place where you can find peace. Even though I could see you only too rarely in person due to the great distance between Austria and Canada, you have shaped my life so far and I could learn a lot from you. Every person close to me knows about my cool, travel-loving great-grandma who is always up for an adventure and who I am very proud to have! I love you with all my heart and think of you often! PS: The stuffed cat you gave me when I first visited you in Canada is still happily lingering in my room 😊 Lots of love and hugs your great-granddaughter Christina ❤️

Sweet Rosa , Rest In Peace my friend. You are now in a better place with the angels . I will keep good memories of our friendship and French chats . Also when you ride my bus and stood besides me at the front to share your day . My sincères condoléances to family and friends.
