Obituaries

I grew up hearing stories about Mark, so many great stories. Mark Blatchford became a household name thanks to my dad, a close childhood friend of Mark's. I'd always ask for more Mark stories at bedtime. They fell out of touch and never reconnected, but I'd always been curious where he ended up. Where his story continued. Finding his obituary decades later, it's a bittersweet closure to see his face for the first time; hear how loved he is, and was. I don't know if I'll ever be able to muster up the courage to tell my dad, but this is a sobering reminder to hug him just a bit longer from now on. Rest in peace, Mark.

Mark, you were a wonderful man loved by all who knew over many decades. I will cherish so many memories. Having you and your family in my life was life inspiring. I will promise you that I will continue to hold those dear old memories close to my heart. Say Hi to my Mom (she totally loved you) and my brother and sister (they were very fond of you too!).

I am so very sorry for your loss. Mark was one of the best. I had the honor of being one of his cousins. He was loved by many and will be missed. He was very brave with his health problems. My sincere sorrow goes out to his family. RIP Mark. Love you.

Colleen and family~ I am so sorry for your loss. Mark went through so much in his lifetime that most never get close to experiencing. He fought many battles with success. Now he has no more battles to fight. Rest in peace, Mark.
